Radio Communications

Compaq is registered on two channels, and has the back-up of the Metro Police Radio Control, directly linked to it's Control Room.This facility allows for direct radio link into the Metro Police HQ.
 
 

There are very few security companies with this facility at present, within the Western Sector.In addition the company's radio inventory consists of twenty base stations, and sixty hand held radios.Compaq has a fleet of eight motor vehicles. Only four of these vehicles are marked , allowing the remaining to be utilised for surveillance requirements.Four of the vehicles are multi-channel radio linked

Compaq Security involves itself in partnership policing with the various Policing Precincts .Various donations towards both partnerships have been made, most notably that towards the Patrol Vehicle for the Hillcrest SAPS reservists.A special certificate of appreciation from Pinetown SAPS was awarded in 2000.

Investigations are provided complimentary to the client, where collusion between guards,and employees is suspected.
 
Human Resources
 
All security officers employed by Compaq , are PSIRA trained and registered . The Company encourages its employees to upgrade their gradings, in order to become more eligible for promotion into acting/ shift leader/site commander positions that become vacant from time to time.An Education & Training Analysis is conducted on all guards annually.
 
Compaq Security complies with all Labour Department requirements & wage determination pre-requisites and can furnish all appropriate registration details on request.
 
All Compaq Security employees are subject to a strict Disciplinary Code.The company follows a route of minimal tolerance.
